The following Unit Standards are covered during the Assessor Training skills programme.

• US 115753: Conduct outcomes-based assessment, Level 5, 15 credits

• US 115755: Design and develop outcomes-based assessment, Level 6, 10 credits

Learners are trained to understand the difference between Legacy qualifications and QCTO qualifications.

• Legacy qualifications are composed of unit standards, with the achievement of practical competencies: -Specific Outcomes and Assessment Criteria and theoretical knowledge: – Essential Embedded Knowledge and Critical Cross-Field Outcomes.
• QCTO Occupational qualifications are broken up into three components of learning: Knowledge Modules, Practical Modules and Work experience Modules.
